• Initial Consultation 

Initial consultations typically involve meeting for 45-60 minutes. This session is dedicated to getting to know you better and what your goals are or what you hope to gain from nutrition counseling.

Sometimes, people are not quite sure what they want to achieve, but they meet to check in and learn if they can do anything to improve their current eating/lifestyle behaviors. Throughout this session, an in-depth health assessment is taken, which asks questions about medical history, current health status, eating behaviors, challenges/barriers, and other lifestyle habits—both past and present.

By understanding your individual lifestyle needs/goals/concerns, we are able to tailor recommendations to you. By the end of the initial consultation, we have a plan in place for the time between the first and the next session, which may include a couple lifestyle goals, keeping a food record, and/or customizing a meal plan program for you.

• Follow-Up Consultations 

Follow-up meetings are typically 30 minutes. We discuss progress, challenges, and/or questions. Your concerns and questions are the priority and guide what we discuss throughout our time together.

Additional topics, ideas, and/or recommendations may also be discussed to help with further progress or new/current challenges. A lifestyle approach to wellness, instead of a short-term diet, is a constant practice.

Follow-up sessions help you to stay accountable, focused, and motivated. Lifestyle goals to maintain or work on are encouraged during each follow-up session since they allow you to focus on and adjust to specific behaviors that are necessary for long-term results and improved health.
